Project Maintenance | Project Plan

The Project Plan is where dollars are allocated to the project. Amounts are allocated to project items for a fiscal year/fiscal period combination. The amounts are not validated nor do they in any way restrict the allowable posting that can be made at the project level. The Project Plan serves as a way for Project Managers to estimate project costs.

To Enter a Project Plan, select the main project tab to show the Project Tree view.

Select the project you would like to enter a plan for...

Then Choose the second icon over the Tree View

Now you can enter your planned expenditures for the project you have been working on. If the project is versioned (meaning that you can create multiple versions of the same project plan) then you can select which project default you would like to have show up for reporting purposes.

To Create a versioned project plan - After creating a project plan and saving, you can create another project version by Typing the name of the next spreadsheet version and selecting new version. Now enter your new numbers and select save. Once saved, Select the upper selection box for versioned to choose the name of the plan you would like to use and select active. Now save. Now when generating actual project expense reports the current active project plan will be used as a gauge against your actual expenses.
