The Project Items Groups menu option allows for viewing, creating and assigning project items to groups.
Functionality
By choosing
(new Group), you can create Project item groups. This
functionality allows you to assign many items to 1 group and that group
to a project. This allows you to do "mass" assignments. By choosing
the items at the left and pressing assign, they are now on the right and
included in your group.
BUTTONS
Assign Button – Moves all selected project items from the left pane (unassigned) to the right pane (assigned).
Assign All Button – Moves all project items from the left pane (unassigned) to the right pane (assigned).
Unassign - Moves all selected project items from the right pane (assigned) to the left pane (unassigned).
Unassign All Button – Moves all project items from the right pane (assigned) to the left pane (unassigned).

View project Item ID- Project Items default to the project item description. To see the project item defined by the project item name, use this checkbox.
VIEW Command - Select this button if you want to leave EDIT
mode for the particular project object that you are maintaining.
Authorization Required - None. If you have access to the project object via the object tool bar, you are automatically entered into the object display window in VIEW mode.
EDIT
Command - Select this button if you want to edit the project
object that you are currently viewing.
Authorization Required - The current user must have Display/Modify assigned as 'Modify' within the project user tab of the currently selected project object. If a user does not have 'Modify' authorization assigned to his/her user ID within the currently selected project object the EDIT command button is automatically disabled to limit access.
SAVE
Command
- The SAVE
command button will automatically enable when a change is made to the
contents of one of the fields on the screen. Please
note: If
the save button does not enable, after modifying a field select another
field on the screen with your mouse. The
SAVE button should then activate accordingly.
CANCEL
Command
- The CANCEL
command automatically removes any changes that were made to the screens
fields that have not be previously saved.
Quick Tips:
To add a group
Step 1. Choose the Add group button
Step 2. Enter a value in the Group Id box
Step 3. Choose the necessary fields and move to the right using the provided arrows
Step 4. Save your work, the new group will appear on the left side of the screen
To change a group
Step 1. Choose the appropriate group
Step 2. Choose the Edit button
Step 3. Make the necessary changes, save
Note: These custom fields are very flexible and can be customized to meet unique needs of many different companies
These fields can also be used for reporting
