System Configuration

The System Configuration screen is where system wide settings are made.

 

 FIELDS

SMTP Server Name  - the SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) mail server addresses either a domain ane, computer name or IP address, e.g. mail.domain.com or 192.0.0.1.

SMTP Server User Name  - the mail server authentication login. Most mail servers require that the user log in before sending email messages.

SMTP Server Password  - The mail server authentication password. Requires SMTP Server User Name. _Note - Do not add a password to the system if you are not adding the SMTP server name.

Change Password  - For security reasons the password entered in a previous session is not displayed in the Password text box. If you wish to change it then click the Change Password checkbox which will  enable this field for editing.

From Email Address  - The valid email address for all emails (notifications, etc) sent from the SMTP Server.

From Friendly Address  - The message from address "friendly" name. The recipient's email reader program usually displays the "friendly" name instead of the From Email Address.

SMTP Server Port  - The SMTP mail server port number. The standard default is 25.

Help File Location  - the base URL or location of the help file(s), required to display help throughout OnTrax Timesheets.

Database Location  - the location of the OnTrax Timesheets database in the form of ServerName\DatabaseName. Note: If you are in the system accessing this page then this setting is correct and should not be changed.

Message  - the message displayed on the Login form.

Message Color  - the color of the Message displayed on the Login form.

System Time Zone  - Select the appropriate time zone in which the hosting server of the application resides.
