Schedule Jobs is where you set up, schedule and run system jobs. There are 3 types of jobs
System jobs which will automatically approve time entries for the current week or previous week. This is available for users who are set up in their user master record to have hours auto approved. Hours must fall within the specific parameters set on each users master record for the auto approval to occur.
Project Jobs- Time and expense entries will be checked and messages will be sent to the appropriate users for time sheet reminders, expense entry reminders or for managers to review hours
Budget Jobs- This job checks budgets for review status and will email messages to the appropriate budget managers and comptrollers about budget review.
To edit an existing job, select the job record in the top grid. The job information will automatically be loaded into the lower screen fields for editing and saving.
The messages sent are created in the job messages area. To obtain more information about job messages and scheduling, go to 'White papers" and select "Sening Broadcast Email mails to OnTrax users" or " Setting up Auto-Approve time Entries"

FIELDS
Job ID - a short Job identifier.
Long Text - longer and more descriptive text about the job .
Module - Select the Module of the job. Changing this selection refreshes the Job Type drop down list. Modules include Budgets reminders, Project reminders, and Time Sheet Auto Approve.
Job Type - Select the type of the job. This list only displays the Job Types of the selected Module. Select the appropriate Module before selecting the Job Type.
Hide Jobs Before - Filter jobs displayed in the listing by date.
Start Date - The date the job will run, or the first date to run a recurring job.
Start Time - The time the job should be run. Applies to every date that the job will run.
Do Not Run After - Last date a job will run. This does not delete a job, it will remain in the system and can be reactivated, by changing the Start Date and Do Not Run After dates.

- This will delete all jobs with starting dates before the specified dates. Warning - if you have recurring jobs that you DO NOT want deleted, make sure to change their Start Date appropriately before deleting jobs. |
Periodic - For recurring jobs specify the recurring unit (e.g. days, weeks, months) the job should be run.
Value - For recurring jobs, this is the value corresponding to the unit - (e.g. for a biweekly job select "weeks" in periodic and enter a value of "2").
Status - The status of the job. You can cancel jobs by selecting "cancelled" here, and clicking the "Save" button"

This will bring up a list of Job Parameters (e.g. User
Group selection) in a new window.

This will schedule (create) a new job using all the specified options
(fields).

This button
will appear instead of Schedule button when viewing actively scheduled
jobs. This will change the options (fields) of the current job and it
will remain scheduled.

This will discard and changes made to the selected job and reset the fields
to the current values.
